In terms of storage, it has 4GB of inbuilt space. The Lenovo’s smart display has a 720p front-facing camera for video calling. It runs on Android and supported by Google Voice Assistant.
It is now available online, the 8-inch variant is priced at $200 and if you want a bigger screen then it also has a 10-inch variant that will cost you $250. However, the price is really genuine this time and meets the market standards. 2. Amazon Echo Show
It is one of the first smart display launched by Amazon, basically, it is an upgraded variant of the Alexa series of speakers. The change is only it has a display and all other features are borrowed from their smart speakers. It sports a 7-inch LCD display that has a resolution of 1024 x 600, however, the resolution is not so great but it will help you in watching videos and doing video calling.

This device comes in 7 and -8.4 display variants, and the prices will be approx $150 for a 7-inch model and $200 for 8.4-inch model. However, they are not available to purchase now and these smart displays are expected to begin selling in May 2018.
4. LG ThinQ WK9
The LG has also jumped in the best smart displays war by launching it ThinQ WK9 at CES 2018. It is a Google Voice Assistant and Chromecast supported device, it runs on Android. Google is continuously collaborating with other brands for the smart displays, it looks that they are in full mood of beating Amazon’s Echo Show display.
It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 624 home hub processor, and it has a 8-inch touchscreen display. The smart display also packs a front facing camera which will help you in doing video calling. It has a very fat boombox type design and the price of this device is still unclear but it is expected to arrive at $199.
The device is listed on LG’s official online store with the suggested price of $299 and still marked as a coming soon device.
5. JBL Link View
JBL is a well-known sound equipment maker in the world but surprisingly they have entered in the smart display industry. They are cooperating with Google for their smart display, means it will be packed with a Google Voice Assistant which will understand and help in solving your queries through a display.
It sports an HD Display with the resolution of 720X1280 pixels and has 8-inch screen imbued. The smart display from the house of JBL has a 5MP camera for video calling or capturing images, in the front of the device there are two front-firing 10W stereo speakers which can produce best quality deep bass sound.
The JBL link view comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, while there is also an awesome feature which is IPX4 splash-proof protection, means it will protect your device from water. However, the price of this device is still not confirmed but it is expected to be at around $200 and it is only announced by the company till then we haven’t heard a word from them about this display. Many other devices were announced along with this device but now they are up for pre-orders and it is still hanging nowhere. But we expected that this device may arrive soon before winters 2018.
6. Sony Smart display
It has confirmed that Sony will be launching its smart display in cooperation with Google. Till now there was no clue about this device nither specs or images have been disclosed by the company.
But after searching a lot from the past few weeks we got this render of so-called Sony’s smart display, the source also told us that they will be introducing it until July or August 2018.
Along we also come to know that it will have a FHD display but the exact resolution is still unclear. It will run on the smart display based Android platform and it will pack Google’s Voice assistant, that will be helpful in doing various activities like you can ask Google to show the route of your destination or your favorite recipe and more.
In the front, it will have a camera for video calling as you can look at the render, but the resolution or megapixels are still unclear. In term of pricing the device expected to be b/w $220 to $250.
There are other brands who had already introduced their smart displays at CES 2018, like LG, JBL, Lenovo, but out of these LG looks to be faster. The LG smart display named ThinQ WK9 is now up for pre-order.
For now, Amazon’s Echo Show smart display is dominating the market, but it looks that Sony and other companies will take that crown down. However, there is no official announcement from Sony about the smart display. So taking anything serious will be not fair and the source, until it becomes true, is not trusted.
